Bloomberg Philanthropies PhD Studentships in Cities – Applications for 2027 Entry
I hope this finds you well.
LSE Cities has reopened applications for the Bloomberg Philanthropies PhD Studentship in Cities. These studentships will fund four-year doctoral research into the concerns and essential future agendas of cities and encourage a collaborative approach involving
city governments as co-hosting institutions. More specifically: this studentship supports doctoral research into city government innovation, urban governance and leadership.
The studentships are linked to specific PhD programmes at the London School of Economics & Political Science, with co-supervision by LSE Cities faculty available to successful students. This opportunity is open to students who will begin their doctoral studies
in September 2027.
We hold your school and department in high esteem and believe that alumni and students currently enrolled in your Masters-level programmes may be interested in applying. We would be grateful if you could pass the attached materials on to your students so they
can see what this opportunity involves.
Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best wishes,
Alen Melero
