Other Mobility Programmes
The University of Granada has specific regulations governing international student mobility. You can consult them at the following link: Regulations governing international student mobility at the University of Granada
Apart from Erasmus + within Europa, students from partner universities abroad may also come to the University of Granada to take part in the Master in Economics through different mobility schemes. These include Erasmus+ with non-associated third countries (KA171 / International Credit Mobility), the Free Mobility Programme, European university alliances such as Arqus, the Swiss–European Mobility Programme, bilateral exchange agreements applicable to Master’s studies, and international double degree pathways.
For Erasmus+ with non-associated third countries (KA171 / International Credit Mobility) (intldimension@ugr.es) and Free Mobility Programme (incoming@ugr.es), incoming students are required to obtain a pre-admission letter from the Master’s coordinator, specifying the courses they wish to follow. This procedure, established by the University of Granada’s Central International Relations Office, is mandatory in order to proceed with the mobility application. The coordinator may also request supporting documents to assess the student’s suitability.
The official nomination, however, is always made by the student’s home university through the Central International Relations Office, which is also responsible for the administrative validation of the mobility. Once nominated, the International Postgraduate School (EIP) takes care of the enrolment of the incoming student and the validation of the learning agreement.
For further information about these mobility programmes, students should contact the International Postgraduate School directly. Please note that the Master’s coordination is not responsible for managing these programmes, except for signing pre-admission letters in the specific cases outlined above.
To consult these agreements and others, please visit the section International Mobility and Agreements – University of Granada.
Mobility Coordinator
The mobility coordinator, Professor Araceli Rojo, is responsible for managing the international mobility programmes and double degree pathways of the Master in Economics. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at the University of Granada. Professor Rojo has extensive experience in academic coordination and currently also serves as mobility coordinator at the Faculty of Economics and Business, which provides her with a comprehensive institutional perspective and the expertise needed to ensure smooth and efficient management of all mobility processes.
She supervises a significant number of incoming and outgoing students each year, guiding them throughout the mobility process and ensuring that academic requirements and recognition of credits are properly met. Her role is formally recognized with a teaching load reduction of 0.1 ECTS per student tutored, which ensures the time and dedication necessary for high-quality supervision and follow-up.
The mobility coordinator plays a key role in the coordination, supervision, and follow-up of mobility activities. Her main responsibilities include:
-
Preparation and allocation: At the beginning of the academic year, the coordinator liaises with partner universities to confirm mobility agreements and opportunities, organizes information sessions with students, and oversees the allocation of placements.
-
Administrative supervision: Once the mobility is assigned, she manages the required documentation, ensures that learning agreements are properly completed, and coordinates with both the University of Granada and the host institutions for the recognition of credits.
-
Ongoing support: Throughout the mobility period, the coordinator maintains communication with both students and partner universities, addressing any academic or administrative issues that may arise and ensuring that students’ needs are adequately met.
-
Final evaluation: At the end of the mobility, she verifies that the recognition process is correctly completed and presents the results to the Master’s Academic Committee, ensuring academic coherence and compliance with institutional standards.
All the procedures and requirements related to mobility are thoroughly detailed on the Master’s website, where students can find step-by-step guidance on available destinations, application procedures, learning agreements, recognition rules, and deadlines. This space serves as an essential resource for students, ensuring transparency, consistency, and the proper integration of mobility into the programme
