Luis F. Garcia del Moral

Luis F. Garcia del Moral is a Full Professor of Plant Physiology and Biotechnology at the Faculty of Sciences in the University of Granada (Spain). Senior Principal Scientific is the head of a research groupon Crop Physiology and Biotechnology (Group AGR123). His research efforts are dedicated to the understanding of yield determination and quality of cereal crops under different management and environmental conditions, with emphasis on water and high temperature stresses in the Mediterranean area, as well as in the use of physiological and molecular markers as tools for breeding in dry environments in relation with climatic change. Author of 70 scientific articles cited in Web of Science (WOS), 30 articles in journals no indexes in JCR and 14 book chapters, his h index in WOS is 26 and 33 in Google Scholar. Director of more than 17 research projects and 13 doctoral theses on crop physiology. Associate editor of the Spanish Journal of Agricultural Research, member of the Editorial Board of Field Crops Research and Open Access Journal of Agricultural Research. He has been commissioned by the Rector of the University of Granada for scientific and academic relations with Morocco and has served as an adviser and evaluator for various agencies of the Spanish Government, including ANEP and ANECA. Research of Interest: Crop physiology, abiotic stress, plant growth analysis, crop phenology, molecular markers, ecophysiological and molecular approaches in plant breeding.
