Course:
MODERN APPROACH TO SYMMETRIES. MATHEMATICAL MODELS IN BIOMATHEMATICS

We have the pleasure to announce the second edition of our international summer course on modern approach to symmetries and on mathematical models in biomathematics, during the second week of June 2017 in Cadiz, Spain. The course is principally (but not exclusively) aimed at Master and PhD level students. The course will be taught in English. The course is being organised by an international team of scientists of mathematics and physics.

The objectives of this course is to focus the attention of students on symmetry methods to search for exact solutions of nonlinear models in Physics, in Engineering Science, and in Biology as well as to show recent developments of the theoretical tools of the Lie group methods applicable to the study of differential equations. Additionally, we present a brief introduction to the Mathematical Biology. This is one of the most exciting modern applications of the Mathematics. We focus in the mathematical modelling of tumour growth and the mathematical tools to understand this process.

The General Directorate of International Relations of the University of Cadiz opens a specific call of 2 REGISTRATION SCHOLARSHIPS for International Students and 1 REGISTRATION SCHOOLARSHIPS for UCA Students. Students interested in taking part in the course must register via the website before June 1th, 2017.
