Breve descripción de contenidos (Según memoria de verificación del Máster)

The development of the Master Thesis aims to show that the student has acquired competences, knowledge and capacity of application and use of basic tools in Economics and Management. The thesis will be necessarily related to the contents of the Master in Economics. It will be orally presented in order to verify student’s presentation skills. Thesis will be annually programmed, taking into account the proposals of students and professors.

Prerrequisitos y/o Recomendaciones

  • Students are strongly encouraged to contact and secure a supervisor as early as possible once the academic year begins, and in any case within the deadline established by the Academic Committee of the Master's programme.
  • The Master's Thesis should be developed throughout the entire academic year, with consistent progress under the guidance of the supervisor(s).
  • In the case of students intending to submit their thesis during the extraordinary assessment session (September), it is highly recommended that the work be substantially advanced by July, as August is a non-teaching period and supervisors may have limited availability for supervision during that time.
  • Students must respect intellectual property rights and bear in mind that plagiarism is strictly prohibited and incompatible with the principles of academic integrity. Plagiarism includes submitting work or content and produced by someone else as one's own, or copying texts without proper citation of the original source.
  • In the case of using AI tools for tasks, essays, and deliverables, the student must adopt an ethical and responsible use of such tools. The “Recommendations for the Use of Artificial Intelligence at the UGR" must be followed. They can be seen here https://ceprud.ugr.es/formacion-tic/inteligencia-artificial/recomendaciones-ia#contenido0
  • If a student foresees that they will not have sufficient time to complete the Master's Thesis during the academic year (e.g., due to work, family responsibilities, etc.), they should officially withdraw from the course within the deadlines established by the International School for Postgraduate Studies (Escuela Internacional de Posgrado, EIP) and enroll in the thesis in the following academic year. Doing so within the official deadlines will allow the student to avoid paying the corresponding public fees for the current year, and in the following year, they will pay the thesis credits as the first enrollment rate, which is lower than the fees applicable to second or subsequent enrollments.

Further information on TURNITIN is available at: http://biblioteca.ugr.es/pages/servicios/turnitin.
