3rd GEMMA Graduation and 3rd "Voices of GEMMA" Intercultural Forum

On December 10 and 11, 2018, the Third Graduation Ceremony GEMMA and the Intercultural Forum “Voices del GEMMA” took place at the University of Granada. Taking advantage of the occasion, GEMMA celebrated its 10th Anniversary being the first and only joint Erasmus + Erasmus Mundus Masters in Women’s and Gender Studies in Europe. It is, therefore, a program of excellence endorsed by the European Commission, which has selected it three consecutive times (in 2006, 2011 and 2017) from an average of 150 proposals submitted annually.

This event was an international meeting where graduates of the Erasmus Mundus Master GEMMA had the opportunity to share their academic and professional experiences in the field of Women's and Gender Studies. The event not only had the presence of students and representatives of all universities participating in the program, institutions, and agencies associated with it, but also we had the Institutional Representation of the UGR, through its rector, Pilar Aranda; Dolores Ferre Director General of Universities, and the EACEA through our project officer, Emanuel Gerth.

We celebrate our tenth anniversary by claiming the need to continue promoting the exchange of knowledge in Women's and Gender Studies through collaboration among participants from many different countries.

The dissemination of our knowledge seems fundamental to us to combat the growing inequalities and injustices that are happening globally at this time.
